A preface is on the fly-leaf in 18th century danish in the same hand as the copyist. This states that this Njals Saga is a copy of an 'Exemplar' from the Arnae Magnæan library No 470 which Ketel Iørundsen (a priest in Iceland) wrote and which came from Iceland to Copenhagen in 1723.
Same hand as MSS 999-1001.
