Scope And Content This composite manuscript consists of seven parts that were produced separately in England, the first six parts written in the early 14th century and the seventh part written in the early 13th century. The first part (folios 3-14) contains De excidio Troiae historia of Dares Phrygius and extracts of Dictys Cretensis. The second part (15-77) contains the Historia Regum Britanniae of Geoffrey of Monmouth and the Prouinciale romanae ecclesiae. The third part (78-92bis) contains a collection of prophecies of Britain. The fourth part (93-116v) contains De professione monachorum of Guilelmus Peraldus. The fifth part (117-182bis) contains a collection of theological tracts. The sixth part (183-204) contains De miseria humanae conditionis of Innocent III with missing leaves now Oxford, Bodleian Library MS Digby MS 77 (83-108). The seventh part (205-254v) contains the Naturales quaestiones of Seneca the Younger. On 183 the scribe numbered in the margin every four lines of text by fives, from five to forty-five. 15th-century corrections, added titles, face drawing and pointing hand manicula (76), and medieval foliation in Clement of Canterbury's hand.
